Meet the Founder
Alice Lang
Founder & President
Alice Marie Lang has dedicated more than 30 years to serving older adults and their families. Her career in senior care began in 1998 as a Certified Nursing Assistant, providing compassionate care in nursing homes, private homes, and home health settings. Over the years, she has cared for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, hospice needs, and other age-related conditions.
In 2010, Alice opened her own residential care home, which later became a licensed assisted living facility. She successfully owned and operated the home for 11 years, earning a reputation for compassionate care, regulatory compliance, and a home-like environment where residents were treated with dignity and respect.
Drawing on decades of hands-on experience, Alice founded the Dallas Metroplex Assisted Living Association to support residential care homes through education, networking, advocacy, and professional resources. She is also passionate about helping new and existing residential care home owners through startup consulting, operational guidance, and compliance support. These consulting services are offered separately from membership, with discounted pricing available to DMALA members. In addition, DMALA works closely with Quality Care Referral Network, an independent referral partner, to help families connect with residential care homes that best meet each resident’s individual needs.
Alice believes every senior deserves compassionate, respectful, and personalized care, and she is committed to helping care providers achieve excellence through collaboration, education, and professional support.
